THE CATHOLIC DAUGHTERS of the Americas, Court Sacre’ Couer 2572 honored Rose Mary Charpentier as Catholic Daughter of the Year for 2011 during their October meeting. Catholic Daughter of the Year is an honor bestowed on a member who has exhibited outstanding and unselfish contributions to her court during the year. Rose Mary is a member who doesn’t know how to say no. She volunteered for everything and worked tirelessly on whatever task was placed before her. Rose Mary’s family and friends were in attendance to share in her honor. Her grandson, Jacob Rogers, shared several of her life stories and got many chuckles from the audience. Above, Rose Mary accepts her Catholic Daughter of the Year 2011 plaque from Cathy McCoin, chairperson for Catholic Daughter of the Year. During the meeting, Regent Bernice M. Broussard presented three new members for installation into the Court. Father Gregory P. Cormier, court’s chaplain, installed the new members. New members pictured from left below are Rose LaSalle, Andrea Landry and Pam Fredrick.
