Tim and Laura Allured, “The Harvey Rabbit People,” have been very busy this week with multiple performances of “Talk the Drug-Free Talk!” at many area elementary schools. Through ventriloquism, music, magic, comedy and audience participation, the Allureds encourage students to be drug-free and stress the importance of developing a positive attitude, resisting negative peer pressure and saying no to bullying. The Lafayette couple have been touring elementary schools all over Louisiana as well as in Texas and Mississippi with their character and drug-free programs since 1986. Here, students from Bayou Vista and Berwick elementary schools enjoying the show.
