He is survived by three children, Melvin, Janet and Evelyn; his companion, Yvonne Hamilton; one stepdaughter, Margarett Marcell; one stepson, James David Morgan; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two stepsons.
Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until the time of the service Friday at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in St. Andrew Cemetery in Amelia.
