Peter Pan Head Start students took part in their annual Drug Free Awareness Parade Wednesday in conjunction with Red Ribbon Week. All week, the kids have been learning about how to say no to drugs and strangers, and how to think for themselves to make better life decisions. While marching along Barrow Street while parents and supporters looked on, the students chanted slogans such as “Just Say No” and “Class C is Drug Free.” Every year in the last week of October St. Mary Community Action Agency and Head Start celebrate “Red Ribbon Week” to show support of the drug free movement.
