Mr. Roy Chester Willis, 54, a resident of Baldwin and native of Houston, Texas, died Sunday, November 6, 2011, at 2:25 a.m., at his residence following a short illness.
He is survived by his fiancée, Alberta “Nicky” Alexander of Baldwin; two daughters, Jazmine Alexander of Baldwin and Nadia C. Willis of Jackson, Mississippi; three brothers, Leroy Curtis Willis, Clarence Willis Jr. and Melvin Charles Willis of Baldwin; three sisters, Linda Willis Craft of Morgan City, Myrtle Willis Alfred of Lafayette and Sylvia Ann Willis of Baldwin; and one grandchild.
Mr. Willis was preceded in death by his parents, one son, three sisters and three brothers.
Visitations will be observed Thursday, Nov. 10, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Special Providence Baptist Church in Baldwin.
Burial rites will be read Thursday, at 1 p.m., at that church, with Elder Donald R. Lanceslin officiating. Interment will follow in the Special Providence Cemetery.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
