Eugene was employed by the St. Mary Parish School Board for more than 18 years.
Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 9 a.m. until funeral at 11 a.m. There will be a rosary at 10:15 a.m. Burial will be in the Morgan City Cemetery.
He leaves to cherish his memory five daughters, Muriel Hebert Madise (Rodney), Esther Hebert Calloway (Freddie), Theresa Hebert Banks (Michael), Sharon B. Hebert and Eugenia Hebert Santana (Arthur Allen), all of Morgan City; one son, Mark Eric Hebert (Oretha Monroe) of Patterson; one brother, Joseph (Ruby) Hebert Sr. of Morgan City; two sisters, Thelma Hebert of Seattle, Wash., and Hazel Lopez of Patterson; 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one godchild, Brenda H. Bartley of Morgan City; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Eugene was preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Mae Walker-Hebert; a daughter, Francis Ann Hebert; his father, John Duhussard Hebert; his mother, Marie Silvonie Reaux-Hebert; a sister, Ethel Hebert Melonson; and two brothers, Hilton John Hebert Sr., and Jessie Paul Hebert.
