Christmas trees in lights are going up along Parc sur la Teche this week as the holiday season approaches. The brainchild of assistant public works director Belva Notto, left in second photo, they were constructed by the city’s public works department. Twelve displays such as the one Renaldo Jones, public works employee, at right in second photo is installing will be along the bayou side. Red ribbons have also been put up to add just a little more festive cheer. Lighting of the displays will be formally held in the near future.
