A section of the Berwick walking trail near Golden Farms Subdivision will be closed, possibly until after Christmas, for repairs. Because it was built next to a large ditch, trees and light poles that all must be accessed by heavy machinery at times, the trail's asphalt surface is cracking. Berwick Public Works Superintendent Allen Benoit said the trail will be resurfaced with road structure concrete of the same width. The duration of the closure will depend on whether weather conditions cooperate with construction, Benoit said.
