PATTERSON GARDEN Club held its meeting Nov. 15 at the Patterson Area Civic Center. Guest speaker was Gloria Roy, Bayou Vista Garden Club president. Her program included tips for decorating a home for the holidays, floral arrangements and table decorations.
Theme for meeting was “Christmas Decorating for Your Home.”
Gloria Roy, Bayou Vista Garden Club president, presented a program on the basic mechanics of floral arrangements, table decorations and decorating a home for the holidays.
During the business portion of the meeting, November Yard of the Month winners were announced. They include Matt and Kristen Lipari, and Roland and Ruby Delaune.
Discussions for upcoming events included the annual Christmas door decorating contest held at Hattie Watts Elementary, the Patterson Christmas Lighting Contest to be held on Dec. 16, plans for decorating for Christmas at the Patterson Healthcare Center, and the upcoming Arbor Day Ceremony to be held in January.
The meeting concluded with the half-and-half drawing, which was won by Iris Roy.
Hostesses for the meeting were Linda Thomas and Sandra Marshall. Members were served crawfish chowder, salad and dessert.
