The holiday season kicks off today as St. Mary Parish gathers to give thanks for the blessings of the year and beyond. The City of Franklin has been installing decorations and lights along Main Street and Parc sur la Teche, testing them as they go, in advance of the official Christmas lighting ceremony on Dec. 8.
