Early last week, state police received information that Michael Stedman, 27, of Watson Lane was in possession of child pornography, according to State Police Troop I Public Information Officer Stephen Hammons.
A search warrant was executed at a Hilda Street home in Morgan City, which revealed approximately 10 movies depicting children engaging in sexual acts. The investigation is continuing as detectives are conducting a forensic examination of the computer in question, Hammons said.
Stedman was arrested in Patterson Wednesday at 1:40 p.m. and booked into the Patterson Jail where he remained this morning with no bond set.
