Biker fleeing cops leaves road at more than 120 mph, dies when thrown off

GRAMERCY – A man riding a motorcycle at more than 120 mph could not hold the road in a curve and died when thrown from his bike.

State Police said Curtis Nicholson, 47, was fleeing a St. John Parish deputy who initially clocked his bike at 82 mph in a 55 zone.

Nicholson fled into St. James Parish on La. 3213 reaching more than 120 mph when the bike left the road in a hard right curve.

Troopers said Nicholson was wearing a helmet.
