Hazel Simoneaux Fangue, 88, a native of Belle River and a resident of Bayou Vista, passed away Friday, Dec. 16, 2011.

Hazel was born on Nov. 25, 1923, the daughter of Joseph and Lorencia Percle Simoneaux.

Survivors include three daughters, Carol Beadle, Rickie Lynn Landry and Pam Nagim, all of Bayou Vista; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward A. Fangue; one son, Edward J. Fangue; one daughter, Ramona Landry; one son-in-law, Woodrow Beadle; one brother; and five sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2011, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass Tuesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Hazel will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
