A car collided with a sugar cane hauler late Tuesday morning on the U. S. 90 service road east of the Willow Street overpass. At about 10:45 a.m., Franklin Police say, the driver of the truck was making a turn left into the cane field, and the other vehicle was allegedly attempting to pass the truck. After impact, the truck dragged the vehicle into the field before the truck driver was able to stop it. There were no citations and the driver of the car was not transported for medical attention.
