Carl C. Lewis Sr., 59, a Morgan City native and Patterson resident, died Friday at 11:50 a.m. at Patterson Healthcare Center.

Visitation will be Friday at Jones Funeral Home in Morgan City from 9 a.m. until the funeral at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Morgan City Cemetery.

Lewis is survived by two sons, Carl C. Lewis Jr. of Lafayette and Jonathan K. Lewis of Patterson; one stepson, Jeremy Andrews of Patterson; three daughters, Tia S. Thomas of Lafayette, and Cheramie R. Johnson and Shantoya K. Lewis, both of Patterson; two brothers, James A. Thorpes of Los Angeles and Pastor Jack J. Lewis of Morgan City; one sister, Elder Sandi E. Lewis-Coney of Patterson; one uncle; 14 grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one sister, one brother and a nephew.
