St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said Lynn Landry, 58, of La. 87, Jeanerette, was reported missing by his family.
Landry was reportedly going to his camp in the Atchafalaya Basin in the area of Bee Hive Chute, but had not been heard from since.
Iberia Parish Sheriff’s deputies, state Wildlife and Fisheries and the U.S. Coast guard are conducting search and rescue.
No other details were available this morning.
