Local Boy Scout Troop 1 traveled to Mississippi this month for a hiking trip and visit to Vicksburg National Military Park. The scouts are shown in the first photo at the Louisiana Monument at the battlefield memorial. Second photo, the winter Court of Honor ceremony was held this month also at First United Methodist Church in Franklin. The quarterly court recognizes Merit Badge achievement and advancement. With the scouts are, at left, leader Craig Overland and at right Jim Evans.
