An article in Friday’s edition incorrectly stated that a 1 percent longevity raise for city employees affected by a 2 percent reduction in pay during the 2011 fiscal year, had been adopted.

An ordinance amending the 2012 budget to include this and other items was introduced during the Dec. 27 council meeting but won’t be considered for adoption until the Jan. 24 meeting after a public hearing is held.

If the ordinance passes in January, employees’ longevity raise for 2012 will be increased from 2 percent to 3 percent.
