The Baldwin Martin Luther King Committee will assemble for a parade at 9 a.m. at Special Providence Baptist Church on Martin Luther King Street and travel down to Labau Street, turn left onto 10th Street and end at Greater New Hope Baptist Church.
In Franklin, the march begins at noon on MLK Boulevard at Wall Street to First Street and then to Triumph Baptist Church on Iberia Street.
This year’s theme is “The Dream, Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness.”
St. Mary Community Action Agency Head Start children will be present to do the Pledge of Allegiance and a musical selection will be presented by a local artist.
Franklin Mayor Raymond Harris will be at the church to give the greeting as well as words of encouragement.
