Marches were held throughout the country Monday to honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. Locally, citizens marched in Baldwin in remembrance of the slain civil rights leader who sought to bring peace and equality to all. Local officials, business leaders, veterans, school groups and citizens joined in the march. Dr. King was born on Jan. 15, 1929 and assassinated on April 4, 1968, by James Earl Ray in Memphis.
