Marchers left the corner of Wall Street and Martin Luther King Boulevard at noon Monday to commemorate the late civil right’s leader’s life and work. They paused briefly at the memorial erected to Dr. King, then proceeded down First Street to Iberia Street and stopped for ceremonies at Triumph Baptist Church. The federal holiday is celebrated on the third Monday in January to remember Dr. King’s Jan. 15, 1929 birthday.
