The St. Mary Chamber of Commerce held its annual meeting and installation of officers banquet at the Cypress Bayou Casino Pavilion Thursday. Awards honoring the achievements and service of local citizens highlighted the event. Photos in order are, Carrie Stansbury, executive director of the Cajun Coast Visitors and Convention Bureau, presented the Hospitality Award to Ida “Sam” Addison, an employee of the Forest Restaurant in Franklin; the Virginia Tyler Guillotte Award was presented to Dr. Gary Wiltz, Teche Action Clinic, by outgoing Chamber Chairman Karl Young; Chez Hope received the Non-Profit Community Service Award, accepted by board Director Robelyn Pitre and Director of Services Cherrise Picard; the Citizen of the Year Award was presented to Fulton C. “Butch” Felterman Jr. by Chamber President Donna F. Meyer and Young; Edgar Dugas III accepted the Business of the Year Award on behalf of Dugas Oil Co.; and Meyer presented the President’s Award to Mata and Don Tellman. Businessman Ted Stanley served as master of ceremony for the event and U.S. Rep. Jeff Landry was the guest speaker. Guests enjoyed a dinner provided by Cypress Bayou Casino and entertainment provided by Danny Donham.
