Long-time physician

KINDER – Services will be Friday for family practice physician and hospital chief of staff Dr. John Storer. He died Jan. 24 at age 92.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II who opened a practice in Kinder in 1946. He retired in 2004.

He was instrumental in establishing the football program at Kinder High and was team doctor for more than 30 years.

Survivors include four sons and three daughters.

Arrangements are by Ardoin.
