Doty, recently of the Mississippi Air National Guard, aided the success of Operation Cookie Lift, in which citizens and veterans of St. Mary Parish joined by sending more than 4,000 pounds of cookies to servicemen and servicewomen in the Middle East for Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
The open house will be held 2-5 p.m. at American Legion Post 242, Highway 90 West, Patterson. The public is invited, and veterans of Desert Shield and Desert Storm are especially encouraged to attend, as well as all participants in Operation Cookie Lift.
