Car pulls in front of Harley, bike passenger killed

SLAUGHTER – A motorcycle passenger was killed when a car pulled out of a driveway into the bike’s path Friday.

State Police said Debra Benoit, 48, was on a motorcycle driven by Bernard Schweitzer, 51, of Dodge, N.D. on La. 10 in East Feliciana Parish.

A car driven by Hubert Millet, 74, of Slaughter pulled from a private drive into the Harley’s path about 2 p.m.

Schweitzer was seriously injured, troopers said.

Miller and a passenger, Ruby Millet, 67, were uninjured.

Investigation continues.
