Lady Eagles stop HMS Lady Tigers

The Vermilion Catholic Lady Eagles notched a a 62-22 District 7-A victory over the Hanson Memorial Lady Tigers Monday at the Billy Gene Talbot Gym.

Vermilion Catholic gained a 35-11 halftime lead over the Lady Tigers.

Leading scorers for HMS were:

Brittney Broussard, 5; Macie Guillotte, 5; Mallory Chiasson, 4; Destiny Landry, 4; Madeline Weber, 2 and Sarah Ruiz, 2.

HMS Lady Tigers are now 17-7 and will travel Friday to face Houma Christian in a nondistrict contest.
