Archie Tardy Sr., 68, a resident of New Iberia and a native of Ashton, died Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at 3:24 p.m., at his residence.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Ashton, from 9 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Archie leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Louise Tardy of New Iberia; one son, Archie Tardy Jr. and his wife, Catrina, of Mesquite, Texas; two stepsons, George B. Lewis of Lawton, Oklahoma and Timothy Lewis of New Orleans; three daughters, Tim’yanna Lewis Tardy of New Iberia, Denise Prout of Lawton, Oklahoma and Emma Lewis of New Orleans; three brothers, Floyd Tardy and Nedray Tardy, both of Beaumont, Texas, and Joseph Tardy of Baldwin; five sisters, Margaret Loston of Four Corners, Yvonne Tardy, Vivian Williams and Linda Alexander, all of Baldwin, and Lillie M. Richard of Franklin; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
