St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrests from the past weekend:

Jarvis J. Preston, 25, of 1805 Joan Drive, Franklin, was arrested Friday at 10:22 a.m. on a warrant charging him with failure to appear on charges of no insurance, expired license plate, stop sign violation and turn signal required. He was released on a $1,000 bond.

James Beranck, 26, of 496 Bessie St., Patterson, and Dean Beranck, 26, of 117 Burchfield Lane, Berwick, were arrested Friday at 8:37 p.m. on warrants charging them with disturbing the peace by fighting. They were released on bonds of $250 each.

Mitch R. Westernman, 52, of 109 Pluto St., Bayou Vista, was arrested Saturday at 10:53 a.m. on a charge of shoplifting. He was released on a summons.

Lakel E. Ramo, 25, and Ashely Hayes, 20, both of White Castle, were arrested Saturday at 6 p.m. on charges of shoplifting. Both were released on summonses.

Franklin Gaylor, 58, of 309 Camille Drive, Patterson, and Franklin Travis Gaylor, 19, of 1715 Cedar St., Morgan City, were arrested Sunday at 3:09 p.m. on three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. No bond was set.

Jeffrey Fontenot, 34, of 1262 Delmar Avenue, Bayou Vista, was arrested Sunday at 4:06 p.m. on a charge of illegal discharge of a firearm where prohibited. He was released on a summons.

Pamela A. Thibodeaux, 49, and David M. Thibodeaux, 45, both of 1406 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, were arrested Sunday at 6:27 p.m. on Houma warrants charging them with failure to appear. They were held on $5,000 bonds each.

Keith B. Smith, 34, of Kenner, and Cody L. Anglin, 31, of Picayune, Miss., were arrested Sunday at 8:31 p.m. Smith was charged with second-degree battery, and Anglin was charged with simple battery, two counts of battery on an officer and two counts of resisting an officer with force. No bonds were set.

Franklin Police Chief Sabria McGuire reported the arrest of Demontay Lightfoot, 17, of Ninth Street, Franklin, Friday at 6:15 p.m. on a charge of disturbing the peace. He was held on a $250 bond.
