Chief Marc Folse said Isidro Maravilla III, 18, of Federal Avenue was charged at 5:56 p.m. on warrants for simple burglary, criminal mischief and two counts of contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
Maravilla remained incarcerated this morning in lieu of a $36,000 bond.
Ameedah Charles, 27, of Second Street in Berwick was charged at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday on warrants for theft over $500, failure to appear to pay a fine for theft and speeding 31 mph in a 15 mph zone.
An officer was working a radar patrol in a school zone at Federal Avenue near Greenwood Street when he stopped Charles for speeding. A warrants check revealed the outstanding warrants. She remained incarcerated this morning.
Elsewhere, Mitchell Westerman, 52, of Beau Lane in Bayou Vista was arrested Wednesday at 8:26 a.m. for two counts of unauthorized use of an access card.
A detective was conducting an investigation into the unauthorized use of a debit card and developed Westerman as a suspect from video, Sheriff Mark Hebert said.
Westerman was booked into the parish jail where he remained this morning with no bond set.
Keith P. Lopresto, 34, of Youngsville was arrested Wednesday at 11:31 a.m. for theft by shoplifting after a deputy was called to the Bayou Vista Wal-Mart.
Store security advised the deputy that Lopresto had been seen taking items valued at $56.08, the sheriff said.
He was arrested and issued a summons to appear in court.
