Port board will meet Monday

Morgan City Harbor and Terminal District commissioners will discuss a number of topics at Monday’s meeting.

Included under new business are items concerning federal port security grant applications, parish Levee Board President Bill Hidalgo’s nomination to the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, right of entry for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, rental of office space to Knobloch Professional Services and GSE Associates, and a letter of no objection on a project by Miller Engineers and Associates.

Old business includes Youngswood site development payments, boat ramp construction, office building repairs, parking lot improvements and consulting contracts.

Also on the agenda are guests Ruperto Chavarri of the Gulf Oil Spill Disaster Adjustment Assistance Center and Ernesto Villalobos of the Trade Adjustment Assistance Center.

The port commission will meet Monday at 5 p.m. at the port offices at 800 Youngs Road.
