Edison was born on Feb. 23, 1944, in Morgan City, the son of Edison Eugene and Elma LaJaunie Grow.
He enjoyed being in the outdoors, especially to go hunting and fishing, or traveling. He was an avid animal lover who raised birds and loved playing with his dogs, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Fay Ann Alcina Grow of Morgan City; three children, Edison Joseph Grow Jr. of Berwick, Dawn Marie Grow of Morgan City, Shantel Lynann Grow and companion Jeremy Boudreaux Sr. of Berwick; one grandson Jeremy Boudreaux Jr.; one sister, Paulette Chellette of Morgan City; one brother, Ray Grow of Morgan City; his mother-in-law, Edna Alcina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elma Lajaunie Grow and Edison Eugene Grow; and his father-in-law, Joe Alcina.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012, at Twin City Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at Twin City Funeral Home with visitation resuming at 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
