Work continues on the 1,600-square-foot Cajun Coast Visitors and Convention Bureau’s Welcome and Interpretive Center in Morgan City. The facility, on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at U.S. 90, will feature glass walls to display the wetlands between it and Lake Palourde. The $3.89 million project is being completed under the auspice of Washer Hill Lipscomb Cabanis Architects in Baton Rouge. Here, siding is in place and a construction worker installs part of the gutter system. With the unusually warm weather, work is running ahead of schedule.
