Mr. Russell A. Johnson, 70, a resident and native of Berwick, died Monday, February 13, 2012, at 11:16 a.m., at Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City after a short illness.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes B. Johnson of Berwick; one son, Dedrick Johnson of Houston, Texas; one daughter, Melinda Rambo of Houston, Texas; one sister, Sherita Johnson of New Iberia; and five grandchildren of Houston.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents, one son and three brothers.
Visitations will be observed Friday, Feb. 17, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Little Zion Baptist Church in Berwick.
Burial rites will be read Friday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. W.J. Otis officiating. Interment will follow in the Berwick Cemetery.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
