Chamber sets LABI conference, business social

The St. Mary Chamber of Commerce will host a Louisiana Association of Business and Industry 2012 Legislative Issues Conference on Tuesday, March 6, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Featured speakers will be LABI President Dan Juneau and Jim Patterson, LABI’s vice president for governmental affairs. Luncheon sponsors will be Major Equipment and Remediation and Cabot Corp.

The event will be held at the Petroleum Club of Morgan City, 500 Roderick St. Registration is $20 for chamber members, $25 for non-members.

Before the legislative conference, the chamber will hold its monthly Business After Hours event 6-8 p.m. Thursday, March 1 at the Holiday Inn in Morgan City. The Mardi Gras kings and queens of the various krewes in the parish will be honored.

Admission for the evening requires a business card.
