Hebert hurls Lady Bulldogs past Franklin Lady Hornets

Centerville pitcher Carrie Hebert hurled a one-hitter Monday, leading the Centerville Lady Bulldogs to a 17-0 victory over the Franklin Lady Hornets in an abbreviated contest the FSHS Girls Softball Field.

Hebert worked three innings, not allowing a run while surrendering only one hit with seven strikeouts and two walks.

Leading hitters for the 1-0 Centerville Lady Bulldogs were: Summar White, 3 runs; Lacy LaGrange, 1 for 1, homer, 2 runs; Carrie Hebert, 1 for 3, single, run; Brooke Boudreaux, 1 for 2, double, 3 runs; Taylor Saucier, run; Rebekah Deslatte, 1 for 1, single; Ashton Landry, run; Rylie Candella, run; Victoria Theriot, 2 runs; Reagan Romero, run; Courtney Landy, run and Robin Romero, run.

Karson Grogan collected Franklin’s hit.

Centerville (1-0) will travel to Gueydan on Thursday for a 4 p.m. game.
