Annie Mae Skipper, 84, a native and a resident of Morgan City, died Tuesday, February 14, 2012, at 7:55 a.m., at her residence.
Visitation will be Saturday, February 25 at Lee Chapel AME Church, from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
Annie Mae leaves to cherish her memories one grandson she reared, Mark Griffin; four sons, Samuel (Margarite) Skipper Jr. of Houma, Raymond Lyn (Paula) Skipper of Maryland, Joseph Godfrey (Suzette) Skipper of Seattle, Washington and Walter (Debbie) Skipper of Patterson; seven daughters, Odessa Skipper Frank, Sandra Ruth Batiste, Mrs. Jamie (Elnora Yvette) Reyes and Mrs. Bryan (Wyonia) Burrell, all of Morgan City, Mrs. Anthony (Leona) Dixon of LaPlace, Windey Skipper of Houston, Texas and Mrs. Eric (Antoinette) Schmidt of Norfolk, Virginia; one brother, Raymond Lynn (Ethel) Morrison of Morgan City; one sister, Mrs. Alvin (Rita Mae) Williams of Petersburg, Virginia; 32 grandchildren; 63 great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
