FSHS Hornets defeat Jeanerette

Lane Howard picked up the mound victory, hurling the Franklin Senior High School Hornets to a 16-4 victory over the Jeanerette Tigers Tuesday at the FSHS Baseball Field.

Franklin (1-1) posted its first win of the season after dropping a 4-3 loss to the West St. Mary Wolfpack on Friday. Franklin’s Brandon McFarlane went 3 for 3 while LaShon Johnson belted a single in the Hornets loss to the Wolfpack.

Howard pitched the first two frames, not allowing a hit nor a run to record the win.

Leading hitters for Franklin were: Davonte Joseph, 3 for 3; Damonte Mickles, 2 for 2; LaShon Joshnon, 1 for 2, 3 runs; Allen Randle, 1 for 2, run; Alex Landry, 2 runs; Rodrick Brown, 2 runs; Zachary Stewart, run; Lane Howard, run; Jarion Brown, run; Angelo Eave, run and Joshua Diaz, run.

Franklin will return to action on Friday in the Beau Chene Tournament.
