BALDWIN — Kaylee Cormier pitched the West St. Mary Lady Wolfpack to a 14-4 victory over the Franklin Lady Hornets in five innings here Wednesday at the West St. Mary Lady Wolfpack Field.

Cormier worked five innings, allowing four runs on eight hits with eight strikeouts and two walks.

Franklin pitcher Karson Grogan took the mound loss after going five innings, giving up 14 runs on five strikeouts.

Leading hitters for the Lady Wolfpack were: Kaylee Cormier, 4 for 4, triple, double, 2 singles; Tiffany Sanders, 3 for 3, 2 triples, double and Tanisha James, 2 for 3, 2 singles.

Leading hitters for the Lady Hornets were: Karson Grogan, 2 for 3, 2 singles and Ashalah Cross, 2 for 3, 2 doubles.

West St. Mary (4-1) will return to action next Thursday in District 6-2A action against Delcambre.

Franklin (1-6) will travel to play Centerville today at 4 p.m.
