Amy Turner, 37, and Brandy Wiggins, 36, both of La. 182 in Patterson were charged at 4:40 p.m. after a traffic stop on Turner by St. Mary Narcotics Task Force agents.
Turner was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of roxicodone (pain medication), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of amoxil (antibiotic) and warrants for possession of cocaine, obstruction of justice and failure to signal
Wiggins was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and on a warrant for failure to appear for criminal neglect of family.
During the traffic stop, Turner was found to be in possession of the methamphetamine and roxicodone. Agents then proceeded to the suspects’ residence where Wiggins was located. After a search of the residence, agents located more methamphetamine, amoxil pills, marijuana and drug paraphernalia, Sheriff Mark Hebert said.
Turner and Wiggins were booked into the parish jail where they remained this morning with no bonds set.
Elsewhere, Leisha B. McGraw, 32, of Red Cypress Road in Patterson was arrested Thursday at 12:55 a.m. on warrants for possession of legend drugs without a prescription. The drugs were trazadone (anti-depressant), celecoxib (anti-inflammatory) and bacteriun, amoxycillin and doxycycline (antibiotics).
McGraw was located in the Patterson area and booked into the parish jail where she remained this morning with no bond set.
Brooklyn Bourque, 17, of Hemlock Drive in Patterson was arrested Thursday at 9:17 p.m. for theft by shoplifting.
Bayou Vista Wal-Mart store security advised that the suspect was observed taking items valued at $39.70 and attempting to leave the store, Hebert said.
Bourque was issued a summons to appear in court.
Christopher Thomas, 40, of Lake Charles was arrested at 12:55 a.m. today on a warrant for failure to appear for Drug Court Status Conference.
A deputy was called to Blondie’s Lounge in Amelia in reference to a disturbance involving Thomas. A warrants check was conducted, and Thomas subsequently was booked into the parish jail where he remained this morning with no bond set.
