St. Mary-Vermilion CAA and Head Start Program would like to invite all new recruits and their parents to a fun-filled day in the park.

As part of its “Early Recruitment Fest,” CAA will host a fun day in Franklin, at Caffery Park on Friday, March 16, for parents and their children to meet the Head Start staff.

“This is a very significant time in the school year, therefore we are emphasizing the importance of recruiting new students,” said Almetra Franklin, CAA chief executive officer. “We have several exciting activities planned to give you a first hand introduction of how Head Start operates. Come meet our Family Service department from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and see what you and your family can become a part of.”

Franklin said applications for Head Start are now being accepted and added, “We are looking forward to meeting new members of our Head Start family. There will be plenty of refreshments available for each person there.

Also, St.Mary-Vermilion CAA and Head Start is actively recruiting children with disabilities.
