HAMMOND — The Hanson Memorial Lady Tigers pinned a 21-0 setback on St. Thomas Aquinas in three innings here Tuesday.

Evelyn Pontiff and Emily Champagne hurled the Lady Tigers to the victory. Pontiff claimed the mound win after pitching two innings, not yielding a run with only one hit with two strikeouts. Champagne tossed the final inning, allowing no runs with no hits while fanning one.

Leading hitters for the 5-0 Hanson Memorial Lady Tigers were: Emily Sonnier, 3 for 3, double, 6 RBI; Brittany Broussard, 2 for 4, RBI; 2 runs; Evelyn Pontiff, 2 for 3, RBI, 2 runs; Mallory Chassion, 2 for 3, 2 RBI, 4 runs; Kim Sonnier, 1 for 2, 2 runs; Katie Sonnier, 2 for 3, 2 runs, 2 RBI; Ashley Champagne, 1 for 1, run and Caroline Soulis, 1 for 1, RBI, run.

Hanson (5-0) will take part in the Delcambre Tournament beginning Friday.
