WEST MONROE – A man decided to settle the question -- “can a Ford pull a Chevy”. He just forgot to ask the Chevy’s owner for permission to conduct the test.

According to police, John Hogard, III, 35, fixed a chain to his neighbor’s Chevy about 5 a.m. and pulled it about 300 yards with his Ford.

The owner heard the noise, went outside and saw the smoke coming from her tires as the Chevy was pulled down the road.

According to officers, there was no prior relationship between the the two.

Hogard is charged with unauthorized use and criminal trespass.

Records indicate two prior arrests for alleged DWI and a marijuana possession charge.
