ALEXANDRIA – Services for long-time dentist Dr. H. Robert Norman will be Thursday. He died March 17 at age 96.
He was the first dentist in the Alexandria area to use dental general anesthesia and IV sedation in an office setting. After retirement, he earned five technical college certificates and became a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Survivors include three daughters.
Arrangements are by Kramer.
Noted FDIC supervisor
BATON ROUGE – Services for nationally recognized FDIC supervisor William Mitchell, Jr. will be Tuesday. He died March 17 at age 76.
He was with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. more than 30 years, retiring as Field Office Supervisor. He received the highest national award for bank examination.
Survivors include his wife Ann and three children.
Arrangements are by Resthaven.
Long-time pediatrician
NEW ORLEANS – Services will Monday for pediatrician Dr. Charles Wasserman. He died March 17 at age 89.
After military service, he opened a pediatric practice which eventually grew to nine physicians and merged with Ochsner in 1994. He was former chief of the medical staff of Lakeside Hospital. A visiting professorship is established in his honor at Tulane Medical School.
Survivors include two sons.
Arrangements are by Lake Lawn Metairie.
