Franklin City Council members meet Tuesday in regular session for March.

Bill Hidalgo, St. Mary Parish Levee Board president, is slated to report on the Franklin Canal Flood Protection project.

Ordinances for adoption include changing Oneal Chube Street to Oneal Chube Drive, and renaming Legends Field at Broussard-Harris Park to Whitney Noel Beverly Sr. Field.

There is a resolution lifting the open container ordinance and the fireworks ban for the Bayou Teche Black Bear Festival April 20-22.

Councilman Chuck Autin is slated to discuss street lights.

Mayor Raymond Harris is expected to recommend appointment of Suzanne Wiltz to the Franklin Historic District Commission.

The council meets at 6 p.m. at City Hall on Iberia Street.
