Parish drug task force agents arrested a Morgan City man on multiple charges Thursday.

Felton Charles Jr., 29, of Second Street was arrested at 2:59 p.m. for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana with intent to distribute.

Agents received information about Charles selling illegal narcotics on Eleventh Street in Morgan City. They made contact with Charles and observed crack cocaine and several bags of marijuana in plain view, Sheriff Mark Hebert said.

After investigation, Charles was arrested and booked into the parish jail with no bond at this time.

Also Thursday, Morgan City police arrested Marty A. Arnaud, 45, of Mount Street in Berwick for disturbing the peace while intoxicated on Federal Avenue and resisting an officer.

Chief Marc Folse said Arnaud is still in jail with a $1,396 bond.
