Centerville (15-1) improved to 4-0 in league play with the victory over Holden.
The Lady Bulldogs spotted Holden a 2-0 lead on two unearned runs in the top half of the first frame before storming back to secure the 6-2 comeback victory. Centerville scored one run in bottom half of the first inning, slicing Holden’s lead to 2-1. Centerville erased the one-run deficit and replaced it with a 3-2 lead in the third frame following a two-run outburst. The Lady Bulldogs extended their lead to 6-3 with three insurance runs in the fifth frame.
While Hebert was holding the Holden hitters at bay, the Lady Bulldogs batters came alive with seven hits. Hebert tossed a complete game seven innings, striking out four, walking two, giving up six hits.
Leading hitters for the Lady Bulldogs were: Summar White, 2 for 4, 2 singles, 2 runs; Lacy LaGrange, 1 for 3, double, RBI, 2 runs; Reagan Romero, RBI; Brooke Boudreaux, 2 for 2, double, single, 3 RBI; run; Taylor Saucier, 1 for 3, single and Ashton Landry, 1 for 2, run.
Centerville (15-1, 4-0) will travel to face Madison Prep on March 28 in a District 8-B matchup.
