Mr. Henry Benjamin Sr., 83, a resident and native of Franklin, died Tuesday, March 27, 2012, at 3:22 p.m., at Iberia Medical Center following a short illness.
Mr. Benjamin was a retired school bus driver in St. Mary Parish after 42 years of service.
He is survived by four sons, Henry Benjamin Jr., Johnnie Ray Benjamin, Christopher Benjamin and Eric Benjamin, all of Franklin; one daughter, Jennie Mae Benjamin of Franklin; one brother, Lynn Hurst of Franklin; one sister, Elouise Salone of Franklin; six grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Mr. Benjamin was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one daughter and two brothers.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at St. Jules Catholic Church in Franklin.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with Father Thomas Vu officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Jules Cemetery.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
