PATTERSON DIXIE YOUTH held its opening ceremonies on March 24 at Kemper Williams Park near Patterson. The opening ceremony was held for ages 7-8, 9-10 and 11-12. The event also featured a tournament, a raffle and a barbecue. St. Mary Parish Recreation District 4 member Jamie Cheely throws out the first pitch to catcher, Patterson Mayor Rodney Grogan, during the opening ceremonies.
