Patterson police completed an extensive investigation Monday with a sweep of drug arrests.

Those charged included:

—Herman Delco, 29, of Wise Street, Patterson, distribution of a controlled dangerous substance.

—Joshua Crosby, 23, of Baronne Street, Baldwin, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and first offense possession of marijuana.

—Jenna Gilmore, 26, of Freeman Street, Patterson, charged with distribution of Schedule IV drugs, distribution of Schedule III drugs, distribution of marijuana and conspiracy to distribute crack cocaine.

—James Jones, 26, of 3B’s Lane, Bayou Vista, distribution of cocaine.

—Adrienne Paul, 19, of Freeman Street, Patterson, warrant for another department.

—Darlene Trimm, 41, of Freeman Street, Patterson, distribution of cocaine.

—Shina Short, 29, of North Bayou Black Drive, Gibson, warrant for another department.

—Darius Grogan, 19, of Hurst Street, Patterson, distribution of marijuana.

—Levat Variet, 32, of Clements Street, Patterson, two counts of distribution of marijuana.

—Quindell Mitchell, 32, of Ninth Street, Patterson, distribution of marijuana.

—Kevin Darby, 22, of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Patterson, distribution of cocaine.

—Teresa Dugar, 42, of Cherry Street, Patterson, distribution of cocaine and conspiracy to distribute cocaine.

—Claude Charlot III, 19, of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue, Patterson, two counts of distribution of marijuana.

—Manidrell Smith, 31, of Highway 317, Centerville, distribution of hydrocodone and distribution of Xanax.

—Johnell Dyer, 36, currently at the Lafayette Correctional Center, distribution of cocaine.

—Dwayne Francois, 26, of Highway 182, Bayou Vista, distribution of cocaine.

In Berwick, police arrested a man Monday for two counts of child desertion.

Jamal Guidroz, 23, of Trevino St., Berwick, was taken into custody at 10:08 a.m., Chief James Richard said. He was released after posting a $2,000 bond.

In Bayou Vista, Nathan Ward Jr., 47, of Fourth Street, Franklin, was arrested Monday at 12:11 p.m. for theft by shoplifting. A deputy was called to Wal-Mart in Bayou Vista, where store security advised that Ward was observed bagging several items valued at $81.62 and not paying for them, Sheriff Mark Hebert said.

After investigation, Ward was arrested and issued a summons to appear in court in July.
