Mr. Sherman Allen “Squirrel” McClain, 59, a resident and native of Franklin, died suddenly Sunday, April 1, 2012, at 10:05 p.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
He is survived by his mother, Miss Dorothy McClain of Franklin; two brothers, Ralph Wiggins of New Iberia and Paul Bolden of Franklin; and three sisters, Shirley Webber and Pauline Bolden of Franklin and Evelyn Darden of San Antonio, Texas.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, April 7, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at the Otis Mortuary Chapel.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at the mortuary, with the Rev. James F. Otis officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaklawn Community.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
